Guitar Lesson F.A.Q.s

Q: Do you teach acoustic or electric?
A: I have extensive experience teaching and playing both! Both have their plusses and minuses, and we can work together to find what’s right for you.

Q: I don’t have a guitar. Help!
A: No problem. I would be glad to guide you through the guitar-purchasing process.

Q: What ages do you teach? Am I too old/young?
A: I like to say 9 to 99, but I have experience teaching guitar to children ages 8 and up, and adults of all ages.

Q: How long are your lessons? Where do you teach them?
A: In general they are one hour long. Either you can come to me, or I can come to you!  We can figure it out.

Q: What does a typical lesson entail? Is there a book?
A: A typical lesson will include tuning, warm-ups, learning some techniques, and of course fun cover songs. I can also work with you to write your own songs.   Note:  I custom tailor each lesson to a students’ needs.  In lieu of a book, I create each lesson from scratch depending on your level!

Q: How many years have you been playing and teaching?
A: I have been playing for 18 years now, teaching for 13.
